Medical Device Innovation & Entrepreneurship
The program advances existing and creates new intellectual property for commercialization by partnering physician innovators wtih multi-disciplinary teams. These Teams are compromised of highly motivated students from School of Design, Biomedical Engineering and Business. Supported by outstanding UC faculty and facilities this multi-disciplinary approach brings together the key knowledge and resources needed to advance early stage innovations. It also educates students in a multi-disciplinary team setting where they learn about the tools and techniques of other disciplines while collectively learning about the unique requirements of developing medical products in a highly regulated environment.
